An air release valve is a staple element of a subsurface irrigation system. It is placed at the highest point in the system, where it allows pockets of air to escape. Large bubbles of air in dripper pipes causes water to be released inconsistently, making them less effective and more sporadic in their watering.
The Air Release Valve RX is screwed into a 15mm female threaded elbow.
